We’re delighted to share some exciting news: FASD Awareness has been nominated for a Kent Mental Wellbeing Award 2026!

The Kent Mental Wellbeing Awards celebrate the people, organisations and initiatives making a positive contribution to mental health and wellbeing across Kent, Medway, Bexley and Bromley. The awards recognise work across three key themes: kindness and compassion, wellbeing, and mental health. They also recognise a wide range of community activity, including charity projects, fundraising, physical activity, workplace wellbeing and wellbeing communication campaigns.

While we don’t yet know the category or full details of our nomination, we are incredibly proud and grateful to have been nominated.

At FASD Awareness, our work is centred around raising awareness of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and supporting individuals and families living with FASD. From our support groups and family events to awareness campaigns and opportunities for families to connect, everything we do is about helping to build greater understanding, acceptance and support.

Being nominated means a great deal to us. It is also a wonderful recognition of the people who make our work possible: our families, supporters, volunteers, fundraisers, trustees and everyone who helps us raise awareness of FASD.

The Kent Mental Wellbeing Awards are an annual celebration of wellbeing champions and the organisations and initiatives supporting mental health in their communities. The 2026 awards are being staged by East Kent Mind in collaboration with wellbeing and mental health organisations from across the region.

Thank you to everyone who is part of the FASD Awareness community. This nomination belongs to all of you too. ❤️
