Dear Professional...

Dear Professional While it is not your fault; nor is it mine.

Think of the families that have to navigate the web of services that come with having a child with additional needs. Sitting there for two hours for someone to answer the phone as I need to find out something, chasing up numerous times the updated EHCP that should have been issued 3 months ago. Waiting for the virtual appointment to start yet 30 mins later still nothing, the endless filling out forms, assessments, phone calls, emails, appointments... it’s exhausting!

It’s time consuming and some days chasing all the outstanding things feels like a waste of a day as you got nowhere and it’s time I could have spent with my child or done something. My time is precious and while I understand it’s the system that’s broken; it’s not my fault.

So please respect me and value my time.
