Join Tracy at the Forward Together Community of Practice Event

Tracy from the FASD Awareness Team will be attending and running two community stalls at the upcoming Forward Together Community of Practice Event on Thursday 12th February 2026, and is looking forward to welcoming visitors throughout the morning.

The drop-in event will take place at Riverside Community Centre, Dickens Road, Gravesend (DA12 2JY) from 10am – 1pm. It brings together families, carers, professionals, local organisations and charities to share knowledge, experiences and information about support services available within the community.

What Tracy Will Be Bringing Along

Tracy’s stalls will combine awareness raising, community information and fundraising activities.

💛 FASD Local Edwin HoneyTracy will be selling locally produced Edwin honey to help raise awareness of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and promote understanding of the condition within the community.

🧸 Raffle for a Handmade Teddy Visitors will have the opportunity to enter a raffle to win a beautifully handmade teddy, helping support awareness and community initiatives.

🐶 Handmade Sausage Dogs Looking for New Homes Tracy will also be showcasing a delightful litter of handmade sausage dog soft toys, each carefully crafted and available to purchase.

About the Event

The Forward Together Community of Practice events are designed to support family carers of people with severe or profound learning disabilities, particularly where behaviours may challenge. The event provides a safe and welcoming space to:

• Connect with other families and professionals

• Learn about local services and support options

• Share experiences and ideas

• Access practical guidance and information.
  

The event is informal and drop-in, allowing attendees to visit at any time during the morning. Eligible family carers can also claim travel expenses.
